Results
We want to build great products, not just complete projects. We want everyone on our team to hypothesize the value of potential ideas and strategize the best way to implement them. Work together to build MVPs, then constantly re-assess what we have built to make sure we are realizing actual value. We must learn from these re-assessments and iteratively build greater and greater value.
Ownership
We must consistently ask others for critical feedback to make ourselves better. And whenever we fail, we must look at our own actions first to determine what we could have done differently.
Community Builders
To be effective, we have to build great relationships with our teammates and our company partners. We must support our colleagues in their work, challenge them on their ideas, hold them accountable for their actions, and get to know them as people. We want to build great products, but we also want to have fun doing it.
Best Idea Wins
We’re creating an idea meritocracy. We align ourselves with the vision of our company partners. Whenever we come to decision points we must independently draw conclusions based on data and analysis, then collect feedback from others to cover our blind spots and check the flaws in our logic. In the end, we must make the best decision because it is the best.
Saying “No”
We want to do everything. But we can’t. So we need you to help us choose the right problem to solve next. You will need to be able to say no. And whenever you see that we are multi-threading beyond our capacity, it is your job to tactfully snip some threads.
Diving Deep
We must be way down in the weeds on everything we are doing. We must be obsessed with details but capable also of assembling those details into a comprehensive goal. Throughout all of your work, you will respect the maxim that Details Always Carry the Day.
